Mark Garey
Mark originally joined the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 557 in 1993 as a freight industry driver. He was a shop steward at USF Redstar. He became a recording secretary for Local 557 in 2002, then secretary-treasurer in 2003.
In 2006, Mark joined the Local 355 staff as a business agent. In 2016, he was appointed Local 355 recording secretary by the Local Executive Board, and in May 2023, the Local Executive Board appointed Mark to the office of president upon the June 1st retirement of Denis Taylor.

David White
Dave originally joined the Teamsters Union in 1967 while employed at Montgomery Ward, and became a member of Local 355 in 1980 while employed as a driver for B. Green & Co. In 1983, Dave became shop steward for Green's transportation department, a position he held until 1993.
In 1994, Dave was elected Local 355 Secretary-Treasurer, a position he holds today.

Bill Alexander
Bill joined the Teamsters Union in 1973 while employed as a driver for Anchor Motor Freight. In 1986, he was elected shop steward by his coworkers at New Penn, serving in that capacity until 1997, when he was elected Vice President of Teamsters Local 557. Bill was elected president of Local 557 in 2002. In 2005, Local 557 merged with Local 355, and Bill became Local 355's Recording Secretary. In December 2015, upon the retirement of Vice President Ervin Williams , the Local Executive Board appointed Bill to the office of Vice President. Additional career highlights include:

Mike Petro
Mike Petro began working for UPS in the Preload Dept. at the Quad Avenue facility in 1990, became a full-time driver in 1994, and was elected shop steward in 2006. He served as an alternate delegate at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Convention in 2011. Mike joined the Local 355 staff as a business agent in 2016.
Mike was appointed Local 355 Recording Secretary in May 2023 by the Local Executive Board.

Chris Greene
Chris first became a union member in the 1970s when he joined Cement Masons' Local 43 in Baltimore, Md. He joined Local 355 in 1987 when he went to work for B. Green Wholesale, also in Baltimore. In 1993, Chris signed on as a driver for foods distributor, Sysco Baltimore, Jessup, Md., and has been a shop steward since 2001.
He was appointed a Local 355 trustee in September 2017 to fill a vacancy on the Executive Board.

Dale Pink
In September of 1989 when Dale started with UPS in Harrington, DE as a part-time local sorter, his career goal was law enforcement. In September 1999, he was tapped to be a supervisor on the local sorters. He accepted the part-time position because it allowed him to continue working toward an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Delaware Tech & County College in Georgetown, DE.
In March 1996, Dale took a full-time package driver position and rejoined the Teamsters, thinking he’d stay until he found a job as a police officer. He received his degree but he stayed with UPS and in July 2017, Dale was voted in as a shop steward at the Harrington, Delaware facility.
Dale was appointed a Local 355 trustee in March 2020 to fill a vacancy on the Executive Board.

Crystal Winterling
In March 2024, UPS driver Crystal Winterling was unanimously selected by the Local Executive Board to fill a vacancy on the Board following the retirement of a long-serving member.
Crystal began working in October 2015 as a seasonal driver at UPS Quad Avenue, Baltimore. She was hired as a permanent employee in October 2016 and the following year, she won a full-time driving bid. In October 2019, Crystal joined Local 355's strong roster of UPS shop stewards.

Chip Elgert
While employed as a helper at The Kronheim Company, Lloyd "Chip" Elgert joined Local 355 in 1966 and served on the negotiation committee there in 1970. Chip went on to become a driver and shop steward for Liquid Carbonic Corporation from 1970-1997.
Chip became Local 355 Sargeant at Arms in 1990, serving in that capacity until 1997, when he became a Local 355 business agent.

Eric Wood
While employed as a sorter at United Parcel Service Quad Avenue, Eric became a member of Local 355 in 1990. In 1994, he became a full-time delivery driver and served as a shop steward from 1997 through 2005. Eric was a feeder driver from 2005 until 2006 when he became a business agent for Local 355.
In 2017, Eric was appointed to serve on the UPS Atlantic-Area Negotiating Committee.

Ed Mulford III
Ed joined Local 355 in 1991 when he signed on as a driver at Sysco. In 1994, he went to work for U.S. Foodservice and was elected shop steward in 1997. In 2006 served as an alternate delegate to the 2006 IBT Convention in Las Vegas. Appointed to the local executive board as a trustee, Ed was elected to the position in 2008. In May 2015, Ed joined the Local 355 staff.

John Moylan
John began his trucking career as a truck helper in 1986 for The Kronheim Co. In 1989 he joined the Teamsters when he went to work with Reliable Liquors as a driver. He was elected shop steward in 1996, a position he held up until the company closed in February 2002. A month later, John gained employment as a driver with Praxair. He was again elected as a shop steward and worked through April 2008, when Praxair closed its doors.
In August 2008, John went to work for Giant Food as a driver for the local pharmaceutical distribution center, where he was elected shop steward and Lead Driver. But in 2016, Giant Food decided to shutter its pharmaceutical division, putting John and his coworkers out of a job. John quickly went to work as a Baltimore Sun driver and, the following year, also signed on with DHL as a part-timer.
Throughout 2017, John worked both jobs until he went full-time with DHL. He remained at DHL until he joined the Local 355 staff as a Business Agent in 2018.

Timothy Marvel
Tim is a fifth-generation trade unionist who joined Local 355 in 1991 as a part-timer for UPS while attending Towson State University. After graduating, he chose to go full-time with UPS as a package car driver. He became a shop steward in 2003, working under the tutelage of former trustee Don Riley. He was elected Local 355 Trustee in 2008.
In January 2020, Tim joined the Local 355 staff as a business agent.

Scott Chismar
In 1983, Scott was 16 years old and working at Safeway when he got his first union card with the United Food and Commercial Workers. He wasted no time jumping into labor activism: Scott became a shop steward and signed up for UFCW’s volunteer organizing program, where he learned how to bring other workers into the union.
Committed to his passion for the labor movement, Scott received a degree in labor relations at the University of Maryland. He worked for the AFL-CIO, assigned to organizing drives and contract negotiations for units of various sizes and crafts across the country. In 1993, Scott went to work as organizing director for a Teamsters Local in New York, where he helped grow the local union through organizing, mergers, and affiliations in the private and public sectors. He returned to Maryland in 2014 when he accepted an offer from the Teamsters to join its D.C. Headquarters staff, assisting locals around the country with their organizing campaigns and contract negotiations. In 2022, he transitioned from the Teamsters Headquarters and joined the Local 355 team.

Felix Guinto
Felix, a third-generation Teamster, joined the union in 1995 when he went to work at UPS as a preloader. He became a full-time Package car driver in 2000, working out of the Hunt Valley facility. In January 2020, Felix was appointed shop steward. He joined the Local 355 staff in October 2022.
